glider challenge: deliverables

1. Our challenge was to create a glider that could go fast and far.
2. The constraints were that we were limited to 6 pieces of balsa wood and one piece of tissue paper.  we had to use these materials to build a glider.
3. We were not able to test the glider because we built it on the same day that we had to "compete" with them. although we couldnt test it it did fly very well.
4. Considering our gliders physical appearance the glider we madew performed very well in the distance and hang time portions of the test.  If i could change anything about the flight i would change the fact that we did not build the glider sooner on in the week so we didnt have to wait until the last second to build it.

  1. Hi Jake,

I'm surprised you guys didn't have a chance to get your glider completed before "competition day".

You touch on some important feedback issues. I'd like to see you use the 4 Quadrant Feedback chart we discussed in class to capture these ideas.

If you had the chance to change something about the physical design of your glider, what would you do?

Did you work on a CAD model? I'd like to see your results for that posted up.

    Thanks.

  2. How did your Egg Drop Challenge design work out? That project is worth a lot of points. Please post up on that!
